The
Ho Chi Minh Youth Union Central Committee, on Tuesday, presented the
Golden Globe IT and the Outstanding IT Female Student Awards to young
IT talents in Hanoi.

Of
the ten winners of the Golden Globe awards this year, one is a young
talent in business, three are IT experts, three working in the field of
IT training for the community, and three are outstanding IT students.
The youngest talent is Tran Nguyen Bao Trung, 17, a student of the Le Huy Don High School in the central city of Da Nang.
Trung won the prize for his software for computer and mobile phones to
assist securities traders. This year Trung has won many prizes: the
first prize of the National Young IT Contest and the first prize of a
creativeness contest for teenagers. He was also selected to represent Vietnam at the International Young Creativeness Exhibition in Taiwan.
Another
winner of the Golden Global award is Nguyen Viet Hung, 33, Deputy
General Director of the PetroVietnam IT and Automation Company, a Ph.D
in IT who graduated from the Arizona University (USA).
Dr.
Hung participated in a project to research a statistic model and
develop calculation tools for the discovery of the interaction between
genes, diseases and medicines of the Arizona University
and TGEN Company. He was a major engineer and programmer for a project
to manufacture a super-searching engine of water and environment
resources of the US National Research Foundation and the Arizona
Research Foundation in 2007-2008.
Forty female students received awards for outstanding IT female students this year.
In
the past six years, 60 young IT talents and hundreds of female students
have won these awards. This year Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien
Nhan personally presented the awards.
