IT Awards go to young talents

The Ho Chi Minh Youth Union Central Committee, on Tuesday, presented the Golden Globe IT and the Outstanding IT Female Student Awards to young IT talents in Hanoi.

Of the ten winners of the Golden Globe awards this year, one is a young talent in business, three are IT experts, three working in the field of IT training for the community, and three are outstanding IT students.

The youngest talent is Tran Nguyen Bao Trung, 17, a student of the Le Huy Don High School in the central city of Da Nang. Trung won the prize for his software for computer and mobile phones to assist securities traders. This year Trung has won many prizes: the first prize of the National Young IT Contest and the first prize of a creativeness contest for teenagers. He was also selected to represent Vietnam at the International Young Creativeness Exhibition in Taiwan.

Another winner of the Golden Global award is Nguyen Viet Hung, 33, Deputy General Director of the PetroVietnam IT and Automation Company, a Ph.D in IT who graduated from the Arizona University (USA).
